Drink of the Week: Tom Collins

Tom Collins is probably one of the most enduring cocktails, dating all the way back to the 1800’s.

It used to be made with a sweeter variation of today´s standard gin. This sweet and sour drink is a perfect summer drink that both refreshing and easy to make. Start by crafting some homemade sugar syrup, done by stirring sugar into warm water. Once the syrup has cooled down, mix fresh lemon juice, gin and syrup together and finish off by shaking the contents. Finally add some ice and top it off with some soda.

• 4.5 cl Gin
• 1.5 cl Sugar syrup
• 3 cl Fresh lemon juice
• 6 cl Soda water
• Lemon for garnish
